Sales and Events Manager / Business Development Manager

Location: Victoria and Canary Wharf, London
Salary: £45,000 OTE + Perks

We are looking for target drive sales sorcerers, deal-making dynamos and selling legends.

At The Alchemist, we don't just make cocktails-we craft experiences, stir up a little theatre, and host events so magical they leave people spellbound. Now, we're conjuring up a new team member to help us fill our spectacular spaces in Victoria and Canary Wharf.

We're on the hunt for a Sales and Events Manager / Business Development Manager with the charm, confidence and charisma to build lasting relationships, grow our local presence, and fill our venues with everything from after-work socials to large-scale corporate celebrations that repeat and can't wait to come back.

This position is in venue based, full time with an immediate start date.

🪄 Your Mission:

  • Proactively sell our stunning venues and private event spaces to individuals, companies, and those local to us who crave the extraordinary.
  • Build and nurture strong local relationships-with businesses, event planners, and corporate clients who love a bit of flair with their functions.
  • Tap into your local knowledge and foresight to plan ahead for key events-from summer soirées to festive blowouts and interesting local events.
  • Be the first to spot large-scale booking opportunities and pitch tailored packages that delight and dazzle with our food and drinks offering from theatrical canapes, beautiful bowl food and hard to resist drinks packages.
  • Collaborate closely with our internal teams to deliver events that are both seamless and spectacular.

🍸 What You'll Bring:

  • A proven track record in sales or business development, ideally in the world hospitality, events, or a B2B setting.
  • A proactive approach-you don't wait for magic to happen, you make it.
  • Experience handling corporate, private and large-group bookings.
  • A genuine love for relationship building and storytelling-because people buy into people, especially those who sparkle.
  • The ability to plan ahead by spotting and preparing for peak dates and big opportunities.
  • Organisation. You will be trusted to deliver perfect events based on your ability to juggle proactivity with detail building. Event organiser will know they are in safe hands.

🎉 Why Join The Alchemist?

  • Work at two of London's most exciting venues, where no two days (or cocktails) are the same.
  • Be part of a brand that's bold and creative.
  • Receive a competitive salary + benefits (free food on shift, 50% off food when dining with friends and family)
  • Enjoy generous perks, growth opportunities, and a team as passionate as you are.
